He further alleged that the BJP government in Puducherry was attempting to intimidate his family and claimed that the action was being carried out at the behest of the Union government.Das questioned whether visiting his family home and questioning his relatives was part of the legal procedure, and sought clarity on the reasons behind the police action.“If the intention is to intimidate me into silence, it will not work,” Das said, adding that the incident would instead strengthen his resolve to push for what he described as a better system in which police “uphold the law”.Das also accused the police of acting like “goondas” and said the alleged action was inconsistent with the character of the Puducherry government.Reacting to the same, TMC MP Mahua Moitra in an X post wrote, “Welcome to BJP land Dear…. where police belongs to the 2 Bhais..”
