‘Manjummel Boys’ director Chidambaram has got his first big review for his next film ‘Balan: The Boy’. The review comes from Ram Gopal Varma. The two met recently.After their meet, RGV watched a small cut of the movie and then shared a photo with Chidambaram on X. He wrote, “Me with #Chidambaram, the BLOCKBUSTER director of #ManjummelBoys. Just saw a small cut of his latest film #Balan and it’s BEYOND FANTASTIC. Just AMAZING.”

Chidambaram talks about his process

Since that moment, there has been strong excitement among movie lovers.Earlier, while talking about Manjummel Boys, he shared with The Federal on how he works. He said, “Filmmaking is by nature not a democratic process. We would be wasting a lot of time if everyone had a say.” He also said something about his team, “I believe in choosing the right people and not interfering in how they interpret the film’s vision.”Chidambaram likes working with senior people, “Working with people who are better is wonderful because there’s a lot of learning involved.”The director also shared in the same interview on how he guides them, “I give them a blueprint, and they are all senior and talented enough to know their work should not exceed the scope of the movie.” He added that they work within the story but still give their best. He said, “In my opinion, the director is a coordinator whose job is to find good talent in the creative and tech side, and put them to good use.”
