Ira Khan, Aamir Khan’s daughter, has been quite candid about her relationship with fitness trainer Nupur Shikhare. The two had been dating for quite some time and got married two years ago. As her father tied the knot with Gauri Spratt, a video from earlier this year resurfaced online, with the couple getting candid about their first fight and battling cyclic depression.
Ira Khan talks about fight with Nupur Shikhare and battling depression
In an interview in April, the couple had gotten candid about their life together. During their talk with Vibhor Adnani on his Instagram page, ‘Shutter Bonsai’, Ira candidly shared how she was excited the first time that they had a fight, which made Shikhare laugh and ask her to continue to tell the story. During the interview, Ira reveals that she was excited over the fact that they had a fight, because she wanted Shikhare to take medication even though he was refusing to take it.However, she shared a little more context and added that she has cyclic depression, though her husband is her biggest supporter. She shared during the interview that “We have arguments. Kabhi kabhi, woh mere depression se thak jaata hai (Sometimes, he does get tired of my depression). I have cyclical depression…it comes in phases…sometimes, there are dips. Both of us are now better at catching them.”To this, Nupur was quick to reply that he does not care for the name, he only knows that he is going to be there when Ira is feeling low and things are not okay. He also added in the interview that, “You want to call it depression or whatever…You keep it. I don’t understand…. all I understand is that you are in pain. So, we’ll do whatever is needed for that. We’ll fight with this together.”

During the same interview, Khan and Shikhare had also shared how they managed to meet for the first time and how their relationship blossomed. Ira revealed that the two of them met during a shoot where she had been working as a make up artist, and from the get-go had thought that Shikhare was attractive, which prompted the two of them to talk to one another, which blossomed into a relationship.The video from April resurfaced online as Ira’s father, Aamir Khan tied the knot with his partner, Gauri Spratt at his residence in a private and intimate ceremony. The actor and the entrepreneur’s nuptials were attended by family members, close friends, and some co-stars over the years, and was registered under the special marriages act.
