Stock market today: BSE Sensex jumps over 430 points, Nifty50 opens above 24,600
Indian benchmark equity indices opened on a strong note, extending gains in early trade as investors cheered positive global cues while awaiting the Reserve Bank of India’s monetary policy decision. BSE Sensex was trading at 78,867.36, up 438.41 points or 0.56%, while NSE Nifty advanced to 24,645.65, gaining 31.50 points or 0.13%.
