Speculation around ‘Golmaal 5’ intensified after the Bollywood Hungama reports claimed the film would reinterpret ‘Do Aur Do Paanch’. The idea hinted at a modern spin within the ‘Golmaal’ world. However, the director’s team firmly denied the connection. In an official clarification, they stated, “We wish to issue a strict clarification regarding certain news reports currently circulating across online and digital media platforms claiming that Golmaal 5 is inspired by or based on the film `Do Aur Do Paanch’. ‘Golmaal 5’ brings back familiar faces. Ajay Devgn leads the ensemble once again. Akshay Kumar is also expected to join, marking another major reunion. The film also marks the sixth collaboration between Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar after ‘Suhaag’, ‘Khakee’, ‘Insan’, ‘Sooryavanshi’, and ‘Singham Again’.The core cast includes Arshad Warsi, Kunal Kemmu, Sharman Joshi and Tusshar Kapoor. Filming is scheduled to begin by late February at Film City, Mumbai. Makers are reportedly targeting an early 2027 theatrical release.
