He was 65 years old when he left the mortal world. 12 years after his demise, Robin Williams’ children have revived his dormant Instagram account, and they did it for a serious cause. According to the first-ever post shared on the account in 12 years, the account has been reactivated to fight AI abuse, wrote his children Zak, Zelda and Cody Williams

In his birthday month, his kids reactivated Robin Williams’ dormant Instagram account and wrote, “As we recognise what would be our Dad’s 75th year, we’re grateful to see new generations discovering his work while longtime fans continue to celebrate the joy he brought into their lives.”In this day and age of AI, they shared how important it is to preserve authenticity. They continued, “As technology evolves, we want this to be a safe, trusted place where the stories, photos, videos, and memories shared reflect his legacy with authenticity, warmth, and care.”“This is our way of sharing his unique talent and humour with the world, including the moments that made us and so many of you laugh, as we remember our Dad’s extraordinary life and work. He continues to inspire us and delight people all over the world,” their post concluded with the names of the kids in the end note.

Robin Williams was one of the most loved Hollywood stars. Known for his effortless comic timing and versatility, he worked in several movies including ‘Jumanji,’ Dead Poets Society,’ ‘Mrs. Doubtfire,’ and ‘Aladdin.’ In a tragic turn of events, in 2014 he committed suicide, and later autopsy reports revealed he had an undiagnosed case of Lewy body dementia, which caused paranoia and anxiety.
