Later in August, Nayanthara on Vijay Television during a promotional event revealed that she was wearing an engagement ring after the interview asked about her ring.“It was my engagement ring. We are private people, so we didn’t want to have a grand ceremony. When we decide to get married, we will definitely inform our fans. Our engagement happened in the presence of our immediate family members. We haven’t decided on our wedding yet,” she said loosely translated in English.

A year later, after engagement, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married on June 9, 2022, in a grand wedding ceremony near Chennai. They later made their first public appearance two days later as husband and wife.The wedding was attended by several popular celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan and Rajinikanth.Later that year, the couple announced that they had become parents to twin boys. They named their sons Uyir and Ulagam. Their little munchkins turned 4 on Saturday.
